Ideal for a family gatherings, VR birthday parties, virtual reality school holiday boredom busters, gaming weekends, public events and more. Be it one headset or up to fifty, we can help. Renting the Meta / Oculus Quest 2 comes with over 60 games (approx. $1,600 worth!) pre-installed so there's tons to keep everyone entertained. Plus you can share the action to your TV with included Google Chromecast to make the VR a really social experience.

No artificial "sale" prices here, we have the everyday best price, always renting the Quest 2 at $85 for 3 nights, just $100 for 5 nights or $115 for a full week.

Play Roblox (ages 10+), Gorilla Tag, Rec Room (ages 10+), Beat Saber, Superhot, Five Nights At Freddys, Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator, and loads more all in VR. If preferred we can PIN lock our games rated over 13. There's many multiplayer games included too, some of which only require a single headset with others joining in via free apps on their phones.

Instructions? They're sent for an easy setup, plus support is readily available, including evenings and weekends, if any questions pop up.

How many headsets? We have a Twin Pack option for two sets, paying no extra postage than for a single headset. With birthday parties usually you don't need one per guest as kids are kept entertained watching the action on the TV, so we'd recommend one or two headsets. Multiplayer VR is fantastic, but there even for a single headset there is a multiplayer game to play together on phones and tablets versus the player in VR.

Games? Some of the approx. $1,600 worth of games pre-installed to play are shown below, please Contact Us for a full list.

Keeping everyone and your TV safe: Supervision with kids is recommended but to help keep players in the safe area, the headset lets you draw a virtual boundary where you have empty floor space. If players go out of the boundary, the cameras will show them the real world as a reminder not to go further. Wrist straps included with the controllers also help keep your TV safe.

Battery life: A built-in battery gives you up to 2 1/2 hours of play time, and it takes a similar time to fully charge. You don't need to wait until it's fully charged to start playing again though.

What about PC gaming? As an optional extra if you'd like to play PC VR games, we also rent the official 5 meter Oculus Link Cable, and we include a USB 3.0 to USB C adapter. This is ideal for games only available on PC, and we rent games packs for PC too. For regular gaming though, there's tons of games we've got in the headset to keep everyone busy.

  • 1 x Oculus Quest 2 Headset
  • Games Pre-Installed
  • 1 x 1 meter USB Type C Charging Cable
  • 1 x USB Type C Fast Charger
  • 2 x Wireless Controllers with wrist straps
  • 4 x Eneloop Pro AA Batteries for controllers
  • 1 x Google Chromecast
  • 1 x Chromecast Micro USB Cable
  • 1 x Chromecast Power Supply
  • 1 x Cleaning Cloth

The Quest 2 has a built-in battery that lasts up to 2 1/2 hours, and via the included fast charger, it will charge from flat in about the same amount of time. It can be used again before it's fully charged.

Wi-Fi may be needed. For events, if the venue doesn't have Wi-Fi we also rent 3G / 4G Wi-Fi routers.

As with all camera based tracking systems, the headset relies on detecting edges to track where you are in the room. So a bare room or a dark room wouldn't work well. As with all VR tracking also, direct sunlight can prevent tracking from working correctly.

While there is built-in audio and it works very well, in a noisy environment you may want to plug your own headphones / earphones in.

To share the VR action on your TV, you'll need Wi-Fi with a good strong signal and either our included Google Chromecast or your own if you already own one. With the headset and the Chromecast on the exact same Wi-Fi, you're good to go. If you had any troubles with that, other options include the ability to share the VR to a laptop or desktop computer, which is very easy to do and full instructions are provided.

Games are pre-installed already and the headset is all setup. Simply pop some of our included AA batteries into the controller, turn the headset on and follow the on-screen instructions to setup your room then you're ready to play.

Instructions are provided with all the steps, including how to play multiplayer games, plus support isn't far away if you ever need it, including in evenings and weekends.

We use NZ Post's Courier to send the Meta Quest 2 to you anywhere in New Zealand, and send you easy to follow instructions on how to set everything up. If it helps we can also send it to your work or a huge number of pickup locations around the country.

Included in the package is a prepaid return label, so on the last day of the rental you can drop that off at your local post office, they'll scan it and return it to us. More information can also be seen in our how VR Rentals Work page.
